What is Baggy Baggy?
Baggy Bum is a creative space to build my experience with sewing and design. To hopefully shape a new path for myself and others to have clothes that fit well regardless of your body shape. Not be held to what the mainstream clothing brands are offering and to actually be able to design, sew and make the things you and I actually want to wear. While being able to apply fabrics and textiles that may have been forgotten or not met their potential. Using secondhand bedding, abandoned clothing and forgotten fabric that have been given away. Reimagining into something new and exciting.
Who is Baggy Bum for?
Anyone! I have created designs and sewn things for myself, children and men. There is no age or size that shouldn't have clothing that makes them feel confident and beautiful. I want to challenge myself to design and produce clothes for as many people as I can, my only criteria is that it makes you feel amazing. Do you struggle to find pants long enough? Have you given up buying jumpsuits because they are always too long in the body? Have you got a beautiful big bum, tiny waist and small bust so finding something that fits is impossible? Because I know I have!
What does Baggy Bum mean?
Baggy Bum was a nickname my mum gave me when I was a baby. I was out of nappies very young. Mum struggled to find underwear that would fit a baby as small as I was. So I would run around in knickers that were far too big for me, giving me a “Baggy Bum”. Yes, she still calls me this even now! Baggy Bum was born out of something that you can't find in the shops. That doesn't fit. Well I will take that name and create something that does.
